the beauty of nature through a unique lens

"Is there anything to live for besides beauty?"

Charles F. Kennedy

Charles influenced many people within and outside of his close circle of 'hawk bench regulars' in Central Park. He was a mentor to filmmaker Frederic Lilien–teaching him the ways of nature in Central Park, and lending him long photographic lenses.  He talked celebrated author Marie Winn into writing her fine book, Central Park In The Dark, which is dedicated to Charles. He was an avid supporter of Regina Alvarez, former Woodlands Director for the Central Park Conservancy. And E.J. McAdams, former Executive Director of the New York Audubon Society, received guidance and friendship from Charles.
